‘Air,’ ‘Precious’ tops with Florida critics

Pics wins a trio of trophies each

Up in the Air” and “Precious” were tops among Florida crix, who handed out their annual Florida Film Critics Circle awards to their top picks of 2009.

The Jason Reitman pic nabbed a trio of prizes, including best feature, best actor for George Clooney and best director for Reitman.

Precious” also won a trio of awards, including two for newcomer Gabourey Sidibe for best actress and breakout performance. Mo’Nique took home the honors for best supporting actress.

The FFCC is comprised of 17 scribes from the Florida area. Awards were handed out on Monday.
