Apple has stared down plenty of competitors in the smart phone field, and new ones, like Verizon’s and Motorola’s Droid continue to present legitimate challenges. In the end, though, the iPhone continues to stand out. AT&T’s spotty 3G coverage is frustrating, but the iPhone’s features – including music and video playback as well as the ability to shoot and automatically upload your own films to YouTube – and the enormous selection of additional functionality in the App Store make it the best.
