Bat Boy comes to iPhone. It’s about time!

The Weekly World News, that supermarket tabloid that doesn’t
even pretend to care about the truth, has come to the iPhone. The company
behind Bat Boy, regular Bigfoot updates and UFO news you won’t find elsewhere has
put together an app for the device showcasing some of its greatest covers.Batboy

Sadly, the offerings are pretty sparse for your 99 cents.
You can peruse 24 classic covers, but the real fun is the ability to swap faces
from your photos with the ones on the covers. (My wife was more than a little
unhappy to see her face on a page with the headline “Captured Alien is 500
Years Old!” Personally, I giggled like I was being treated with nitrous
oxide.)

The covers (altered or otherwise) can be shared with
friends, which may land me in further trouble.

Granted, it’s a silly waste of time and money, but it’s no
worse than 50 percent of the other apps on the market today.
