Cartoon draws more shows

'Horrorbots,' 'Regular' draw greenlights

Cartoon Network has greenlit two series and picked up additional episodes of a third.

Turner cabler has given the go-ahead for “Regular Show” and “Horrorbots,” the former about two groundskeepers who try to entertain themselves by any means necessary. “Horrorbots” follows two teenage droids trying to fit into high school. No airdates have been set for either.

J.G. Quintel is exec producer on “Regular Show” while Michael Buckley and Joe Deasy are exec producers for “Horrorbots.”

Also, “The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack” has received an order for more episodes for season two and will run through the end of the year.

In addition, net has ordered more scripts for half-hour skein “Adventure Time.” Series, exec produced by Fred Siebert and Derek Drymon, is set for a first-quarter launch next year and is produced at Cartoon Network Studios.
