Schwarzenegger Defends The Knife

There's been some criticism of California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's video — in which, like something out of "Predator," he brandishes a knife to talk about the state's budget-cutting agreement — but he defended the Twitter spot as a moment of levity.

"Not that I have fun with making the cuts – they sadden me – but … that doesn't mean that you cannot wave a knife around, or to wave your sword around, to get the message across that certain cuts have to be made because it's budget time," Schwarzenegger said at a news conference.

Because of term limits, Schwarzenegger cannot run for reelection.
