FCC Nominee: No to Fairness Doctrine

Julius Genachowski grilling by the Senate Commerce Committee was more of a love fest, but he did reveal that he's opposed to reinstating the Fairness Doctrine and will enforce indecency laws. But he stopped short of saying that the government shuld take a greater role in policing content, and seemed to put faith in the approach of the V-chip.

"I believe in the power of technology to help drive solutions here," he said.
