“Angels & Demons” Debuts in Rome

Director Ron Howard unveiled "Angels & Demons," the followup to "The Da Vinci Code," just a mile from the Vatican, but it didn't stir up nearly the amount of controversy that came with the release of the latter pic.

A Vatican spokesman refused to comment, other than to quip about it, leaving the most vocal response to Bill Donahue of the Catholic League.

Howard does say that Vatican officials used "back channels" to prevent them from shooting at some church locations.
