BSkyB has inked a deal with World Wrestling Entertainment to continue airing the company’s lineup of TV shows for another five years in a deal that extends the relationship through 25 years.

The distribution agreement begins in January and gives BSkyB the exclusive U.K. broadcast rights to WWE’s weekly TV shows, including “Raw,” “SmackDown,” “ECW,” “Bottom Line,” “AfterBurn,” “WWE Vintage Collection” and “This Week in WWE” plus five monthly specials that air on Sky Sports, while “WWE Experience” and “WWE Superstars” are set to air on Sky1. Eight pay-per-view events, including “WrestleMania,” will air on Sky Box Office.

Deal puts WWE’s shows in 15 million homes in the U.K. and Ireland.

WWE prexy of international Andrew Whitaker called the deal with BSkyB “pivotal to WWE reaching new heights of popularity we now enjoy in the U.K.”
