Nordic distribs band together

Partnership to focus on local pics

STOCKHOLM — The Nordic Film & TV Fund and five local distribs have banded together to up the distribution of local pics in each other’s countries.

The Nordic High Five venture includes NonStop Entertainment in Sweden, Arthaus in Norway, Camera Film in Denmark, BioRex in Finland and Green Light Films in Iceland.

Over three years, these distribs will be given coin from the fund to market films from the other Nordic countries. The amount of capital was not announced.

The Nordic High Five venture starts this summer when Swedish pic “Involuntary” will be distributed in Denmark; Iceland’s “White Night Wedding” will be distribbed in Sweden; Finland’s “Letters to Father Jacob” will be released in Norway; Sweden’s “Kenny Starfighter” will go out in Finland; and Denmark’s “Valhalla Rising” will bow in Iceland.
