‘Italian Job’ on Indian Film Co. slate

Burmawalla brothers Abbas-Mustan to direct

The Indian Film Co. and Studio 18 will mount a Hindi-language version of “The Italian Job.”

Burmawalla brothers Abbas-Mustan (“Race”) will helm, with a cast to be announced.

Studio 18, India’s largest vertically integrated motion picture company, is part of Viacom 18, a 50-50 joint venture set up between Viacom and Network 18. Its association with Viacom allows it to explore remakes from Paramount’s film library.

Pic is slated for a late 2009 start date.
