Gordon Ramsay shows sell abroad

'F Word,' 'Escape' find foreign buyers

LONDON — Foul-mouthed British chef Gordon Ramsay is cooking up a storm overseas. Optomen Intl. has sold two of Ramsay’s shows to several territories.

They are the fifth season of “Gordon Ramsay’s F Word,” a flagship show for Channel 4 in Blighty, and new show “Gordon’s Great Escape,” due to bow on Channel 4 early next year. “Great Escape” focuses on Ramsay’s culinary odyssey in India.

Canwest in Canada, SBS in Belgium and TVNZ in New Zealand have all licensed both series while DVD publisher IMC Vision has snapped up U.K. DVD rights. Globosat in Brazil, Viasat in Hungary and Oz’s Nine Network have licensed “Gordon’s Great Escape.”
