“We’ve just seen Glacier Park–and I’m in heaven!” Shirley Jones exclaims while on the phone from the recreated Orient Express luxury aboard the GrandLuxe Railway tour of our western national parks. It was husband Marty Ingels idea to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary on the train. (He doesn’t fly). Although their anniversary was last Nov.13, he’d made arrangements far in advance to assure reservations for the celebration. Shirley was ecstatic talking about the experiences. They’d gone aboard in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, traveled to Gand Tetons country, and will continue on the National Parks route, disembarking for bus sites of the intimate points of interest.
She reported that Marty even took in the rapids of the Snake River! on one of the trips. On board, Shirley will do a q.and a. “in a dome-shaped car”– with the 120 passenges–much like it’s done on a cruise ship, she noted. The unique anniversary event winds in Seattle on Wednesday. To see the setting of the Ingels celebration, log on to GrandLuxeRaillway. All aboard!
