Televisa to air ‘WWE Raw’

Show will air on Sunday afternoons

World Wrestling Entertainment has inked a deal with Televisa to begin airing “WWE Raw” on Galavision Canal 9 in Mexico beginning next month.

Move is part of WWE’s efforts to bolster its brand in Latin America and increase viewership among Latinos in the region.

“Raw” will air on the broadcast network Sunday afternoons beginning Oct. 5.

Channel is available in more than 20 million households throughout the country.

Show has been airing in Mexico on cabler Canal 52, which was only available to fewer than 1 million homes.

WWE’s weekly “Smackdown” series also airs on Canal 52, while its “ECW” show airs on satcaster FX Latin America.
