HOLLYWOOD — MGM Networks has further expanded in Eastern Europe, bowing the MGM Channel in Serbia, Albania and Macedonia.

“We’ve lined up well over a dozen major cable and satellite operators across these three countries,” Bruce Tuchman, executive VP of MGM Networks, said on Wednesday. “While only a few markets in this region now remain untapped for us, we are very excited about the prospects for continued rapid subscriber growth.”

The MGM Channel in Serbia has launched across many platforms, including cablers such as Kopernikus Technology and K.D.S. Novi Sud, as well as Telekom Serbia’s IPTV platform. The channel will be broadcast with Serbian subtitles.

The channel launched last month on satellite on Albania’s largest multichannel platform, Digitalb, and on Macedonia’s largest cable operator, Cabletel.

MGM Channels are already carried across the former USSR, Poland, Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Bulgaria.
