Continuing its expansion, Los Angeles- and London-based sales company IM Global has added IM Global Television to its roster of international sales operations, with Gavin Reardon as prexy of the new division.
The unit will acquire and license a wide range of TV and digital broadcast content, including made-for-TV movies, miniseries, episodic, reality and animated programming for international distribution. IM Global TV also kicks off with a film library of more than 100 titles.
Reardon was most recently prexy of … And Action! Distribution.
“The strategy for IM Global from the outset has been to create a consortium of dedicated sales and acquisitions divisions operating around a highly professional central infrastructure,” said IM Global founder and CEO Stuart Ford. “Our bigger-scale theatrical business is now firing on all cylinders. The successful launch of IM Global Home Entertainment last year and now IM Global Television has hopefully moved us closer to achieving some key strategic goals.”
IM Global TV’s inaugural slate at Mip TV, which begins on Monday, will include ESPN documentary “Kicking it,” narrated by Colin Farrell and with music from U2; and NBC primetime animated holiday special “Little Spirit,” produced by Curious Pictures.
IM Global TV has also secured a multiyear international output deal with Intermedia Television, fronted by longtime Paramount Network Television and Universal Television executive Tom Russo.
