Slush and snow didn’t stop the stars from schmoozing at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
On Jan. 21 Variety’s 10 Directors to Watch party at the Stein Eriksen Lodge, brought out Jodie Foster, Andie MacDowell, Patricia Clarkson and fest director Geoff Gilmore. Later that night, indie giant Cinetic threw its annual bash at hot spot Zoom where Cinetic’s John Sloss held court in front of a crowd that included Doug Liman, Matthew Perry and Killer Films’ Christine Vachon.
Earlier in the week, Focus Features kicked off the party circuit on Jan. 17 with a fete for “In Bruges,” starring Colin Farrell. This was followed by a lengthy list of preems such as: “Be Kind Rewind” with Jack Black; “What Just Happened?” with Robert De Niro and “Smart People” with Sarah Jessica Parker and Dennis Quaid.
