STOCKHOLM — The “Mamma Mia!” gala screening in Stockholm July 4 turned into an ABBA reunion, as all four members of the Swedish musical group — Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Agnetha Faltskog — got together for the first time in 20 years.
Lyngstad and Faltskog joined hands with the pic’s star, Meryl Streep, and danced outside the Rival Cinema as photographers happily snapped away.
“This was fantastic. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a more enjoyable screening,” said Streep. Co-star Colin Firth agreed with the sentiment saying, “To see the film with a Swedish audience was something extra special.”
The preem also drew the pic’s Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried, Dominic Cooper and Christine Baranski as well as Swedes Lasse Hallstrom and Lena Olin.
