Entertainment League enters game

Former NBA exec start sports production unit

The ranks of companies in Los Angeles focusing on sports production and marketing have added another player: Entertainment League Prods.

The founders of ELP, Felisa Israel and Shane Duffy, have resigned their posts as executives of the National Basketball Assn., Israel as director of live programming and Duffy as director of entertainment marketing.

The NBA has become a client of ELP, which will help the league with event coordination for the Feb. 14 All-Star Game in Phoenix. Another client, Action Sports Assn., will use ELP for producing and marketing extreme-sports events.

ELP will also get involved in talent bookings through Align Entertainment Group and the music producer David Foster.
