BERLIN — Former RTL II chief Josef Andorfer and Roger Schneider, former managing director of NBC Universal Global Networks Deutschland, have joined German broadcaster Das Vierte following its recent takeover by Russian media entrepreneur Dmitri Lesnevski.
Lesnevski’s Mini Movie Intl. Channel group bought the free TV web from NBC Universal Global Networks in June.
Andorfer, who ankled his post at RTL II in 2005 after butting heads with the web’s shareholders, will serve as a consultant to Das Vierte’s new managing director Elena Fedorova, a former exec at Russian broadcaster Ren TV. He will focus on programming and production as well as communication and marketing.
Schneider, who was appointed co-managing director of NBC Universal Global Networks Deutschland at the beginning of the year alongside Katharina Behrends, assumes the post of chief financial officer and deputy managing director at Das Vierte.
Fedorova said the broadcaster was seeking continuity with Schneider’s appointment, adding that he had “done excellent work for the broadcaster” as managing director and CFO of NBC Universal Deutschland.
Schneider will oversee finance, sales, legal, human resources and operations.
Behrends will remain sole managing director at NBC Universal Global Networks Deutschland.
