NBC’s getting into the holiday spirit this year, picking up several seasonal specials.

Three are from Juma Entertainment: “Greatest Holiday TV Specials and Movies,” “Greatest Holiday Songs” and “Greatest Holiday Home Videos.” Robert Horowitz and Lewis Fenton are exec producers.

Peacock’s roster of holiday fare includes the animated entry “Macy’s Presents Little Spirit: Christmas in New York.”

“Little Spirit” features the voices of Danny DeVito, Lucy Liu, Freddy Rodriguez and NBC News anchor Brian Williams among others. Duncan Sheik provides the music for the special, which is about a boy who loses his dog right before Christmas.

Special continues NBC’s relationship with the retail giant, which is also behind the Peacock’s long-running coverage of the “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.” Curious Pictures, Mediaedge:cia and Macy’s Parade and Entertainment Group are producers.

The specials join returning entries such as “Christmas in Rockefeller Center,” “The National Dog Show Presented by Purina” and the exclusive run of “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

Peacock execs said they hoped to stake more of a claim to holiday viewing this year. Rival ABC has generated strong ratings in recent years with its crop of Christmas and seasonal specials.
