Lifetime has bumped alternative series exec David Hillman to VP of reality programming.
Move comes after the successful launch of Lifetime’s new Carson Kressley-hosted skein “How to Look Good Naked,” which Hillman helped spearhead.
Hillman is charged with developing and overseeing reality skeins at the cabler. He reports to Jessica Samet, senior VP of reality programming at Lifetime Networks.
“David is an invaluable member of the reality programming team,” Samet said. “He’s a seasoned and sharp executive with a wealth of unscripted programming experience.”
Besides “Naked,” Hillman also oversees the new show “Matched in Manhattan.”
Hillman has been with Lifetime since February 2005, joining as senior director of reality programming. Before that, he served as a supervising producer on the SoapNet skein “I Wanna Be a Soap Star.”
Exec also worked on shows such as Lifetime’s “What Should You Do,” Travel Channel’s “Jimmy Carter’s Plains, Georgia” and A&E’s “Behind Closed Doors With Joan Lunden.”
