Greg Drebin has been tapped senior VP of programming and marketing at Warner Bros. Intl. TV’s branded services unit.
Drebin’s hire comes a little more than five months since the studio created the unit, which creates multiple platforms of WB-produced shows on advertiser-supported, subscription video-on-demand and linear channels around the world.
Drebin will report to Warner Bros. Intl. TV Distribution topper Jeffrey Schlesinger and work closely with both Malcolm Dudley-Smith, exec vice president of the branded services unit, and Lisa Gregorian, exec VP of worldwide marketing for WBTV.
He arrives on the Burbank lot after a little more than two years as exec VP of programming and production for IMF: The International Music Feed, Universal’s 24-hour all-music global TV net.
As the unit’s senior creative exec, Drebin will create marketing strategies for different global territories and help create brand awareness.
Warner has established VOD channels in the U.K., Germany, Italy, Japan, France and will be arriving in India later this year.
