Roberts, Rockmore get lift at studio

The Disney-ABC TV Group has promoted Ann Lewis Roberts to take charge of two major divisions: Buena Vista Prods. and SoapNet.

Also receiving a lift is Adam Rockmore, whose new title is senior VP of marketing for ABC Daytime and SoapNet.

As head of Buena Vista Prods., Roberts will ride herd on development of new programming for primetime, syndication and cable TV. She’ll also be responsible for two existing shows in firstrun syndication, “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” and “At the Movies With Ebert & Roeper,” as well as SoapNet’s “The Fashionista Diaries” and Game Show Network’s “Camouflage.”

At SoapNet, Roberts’ title of senior VP of alternative programming and development will give her sway over all nonscripted series and specials for the network.

Rockmore’s new job will put him in charge of creative services and brand management for the ABC daytime schedule and SoapNet.

Roberts was most recently VP of development for Buena Vista Prods., where she brought “Fashionista” to SoapNet and produced and sold the Sci Fi Channel series “Run for Money” and the Tru TV (formerly Court TV) series “Inside Video Wars: Stringers.”

Before Buena Vista, Roberts was VP of programming for E!, and earlier in her career, she was a producer for “Entertainment Tonight” and “Access Hollywood.”

Rockmore’s previous jobs include VP of marketing and retail for brand-development company Calphalon and veep of marketing and PR for Food Network.
