Road Grosses

NEW YORK — The road rose by 8.9% and one show in Week 44 (March 24-30), bringing the total gross to $12,551,344.

The touring production of “Wicked” broke the house record in its third week in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., with $1,451,750, while the show’s Los Angeles edition topped the charts with $1,494,780. Despite its continued success, the L.A. show announced it would end its run at the Pantages in January.

Accounting for a large part of the upswing, the slate saw the addition of “Tuna Does Vegas” this week, the fourth show in the series that began with “Greater Tuna.”

Other notable changes included the gross for “Monty Python’s Spamalot,” which nearly doubled its previous week’s gross with $1,236,835 in its first week in Orlando.
