‘Romantic Poetry’ adds cast

Trio acted in tuner's developmental staging

Mark Linn-Baker, Ivan Hernandez and Patina Renea Miller have signed on to appear in Manhattan Theater Club’s preem of the new John Patrick Shanley-Henry Krieger musical “Romantic Poetry.”

All three thesps appeared in the tuner’s developmental staging by New York Stage and Film last summer.

Another upcoming MTC offering, Lynn Nottage’s “Ruined,” has booked a cast that includes Quincy Tyler Bernstine (a member of Off Broadway troupe The Civilians), Chris Chalk (“Defiance”) and Kevin Mambo (“Guiding Light”). Performers join previously announced Adriane Lenox (“Doubt”) in the play, which centers on a businesswoman in a small town in the Congo.

“Poetry,” about intersecting love lives in the New York City area, begins previews Sept. 30 ahead of an Oct. 28 opening. “Ruined” starts perfs Jan. 21 .
