John Rando (“Urinetown”) will helm the Encores! production of “On the Town,” with Warren Carlyle (“A Tale of Two Cities”) choreographing.

Fall production, set to run Nov. 19-23, will not only be part of the annual Encores! series of semi-staged concert readings but also an offering in a concurrent, citywide fest celebrating the 90th birthday of “Town” composer Leonard Bernstein.

With book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, the 1944 tuner follows three sailors on a day of shore leave in Gotham. No casting for the Encores! incarnation has been confirmed.

Also on the Encores! bill this season are the 1932 Jerome Kern-Oscar Hammerstein II musical “Music in the Air” (Feb. 5-8) and the 1949 E.Y. Harburg-Burton Lane tuner “Finian’s Rainbow” (March 26-29).
