A David Schwimmer-helmed production of a new Stephen Belber play, “Fault Lines,” will kick off Naked Angels’ Off Broadway season, taking the place of the recently scuttled staging of Frank Pugliese’s “The Talk.”

Josh Lucas, Noah Emmerich, Jennifer Mudge and Dominic Fumusa star in the dark comedy about a boys’ night out that unexpectedly causes tremors in a friendship.

Naked Angels previously produced “Tape,” also by Belber (“Match,” “A Small, Melodramatic Story”). Schwimmer, who recently completed helming HBO’s upcoming “Little Britain USA,” is a founding member of Chicago’s Lookingglass Theater Company, where he will return next spring to appear in a production of “Our Town.”

“Fault Lines” begins previews Sept. 22 ahead of a Sept. 30 opening at the Cherry Lane Theater.
