Victoria Clark, John Glover and Julie Hagerty will topline the cast of the Roundabout’s Off Broadway revival of “The Marriage of Bette and Boo” this summer.
Clark (“The Light in the Piazza”) will play the mother of the bride in the 1985 black comedy by Christopher Durang, with Glover (“Love! Valour! Compassion!”) and Hagerty as the groom’s parents. Kate Jennings Grant and Christopher Evan Welch will play the title couple, whose relationship is the focus of the three-decade storyline.
Walter Bobbie (“Chicago”) directs the production, with a design team that includes David Korins (sets), Susan Hilferty (costumes) and Donald Holder (lights).
Production begins previews at the Laura Pels Theater on June 13 ahead of a July 10 opening. Limited engagement runs through Sept. 7.
In other Roundabout news, the nonprofit org’s Broadway revival of “Sunday in the Park With George” has extended for a third time, pushing the closing date back to June 29. Production could potentially run through the summer at Studio 54 before coming up against the Roundabout’s fall offering at the venue.
