Total Broadway sales rose by about $1 million last week — and two-thirds of that increase can be attributed to a pint-sized pirouetting newcomer.

The much-anticipated Rialto production of hit London tuner “Billy Elliot” racked up $700,757 in its first five previews, nabbing a spot in the top 10 even without the benefit of a full week of eight perfs. If such promising biz holds steady, the big-budget musical — based on the 2000 pic about the youngster who’s gotta dance — should muscle further up the ladder.

Also contributing to the box office bump last week were “The Little Mermaid” ($809,439) and “Legally Blonde” ($511,864). Both productions logged six-figure gains, with “Blonde” boosted by the recent announcement that it would shutter Oct. 19.

Meanwhile, “The Seagull” ($396,195) was up nearly $80,000, with the strong reviews it garnered late last week helping to provide the wind beneath its wings.

Streetwide cume hit $16.6 million for 30 shows on the boards (or $17.2 million including estimates for “Young Frankenstein”).

“Equus” ($662,213) galloped ahead by more than $60,000, but in the race to be the frame’s top-selling nonmusical, “All My Sons” ($665,490) beat it by a nose.

The revival of “Speed-the-Plow” reaped $180,552 in its first four previews, while the Roundabout’s staging of “A Man for All Seasons” ($271,879), opening tonight, held steady.

Otherwise, sales turbulence was minimal, with “Mary Poppins” ($598,246) up more than $40,000 and “Hairspray” (435,704) climbing more than $30,000. Tuner “[title of show]” ($148,510), skedded to shutter Oct. 12, saw sales bump up by 19%.

Dips were generally unremarkable, as “In the Heights” ($715,985) and “August: Osage County” ($391,308) slipped by about $25,000 each, and new musical “13” ($125,793) fell by more than $40,000 in a comp-heavy opening week.
