Val Kilmer joins ‘Silver Cord’

Shane West, Cam Gigandet added to indie

Handpicked Films and Tayrona Entertainment have signed Shane West, Cam Gigandet, Val Kilmer, Arielle Kebbel and Eric Balfour for “Silver Cord.”

Pic will be directed by James Ordonez, who is also the co-writer along with Ken Gord.

Story centers on Ordonez’s brother who came back to life after being declared clinically dead on multiple occasions. The brother died in 2004.

The indie feature’s aiming at a September start and has obtained a SAG waiver.

“Silver Cord” will be produced by Michel Shane, Anthony Romano, James Ordonez, Shani Rigsbee and Gord. Jai Khanna of Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Rob Folk are exec producing.
