Asgaard Entertainment has brought veteran film exec Todd Slater aboard to help guide overall strategy, studio affairs and production at the company.
Slater most recently served as exec VP for Baldwin Entertainment and was VP of marketing, distribution and corporate relations at Philip Anschutz’s Crusader Entertainment, where he oversaw those efforts on “Ray” and “Sahara.”
Slater also brokered the acquisition deal between Asgaard and Roadside Attractions/Lionsgate on the romantic comedy “Everybody Wants to Be Italian,” which Roadside will release next weekend.
Asgaard’s headed by Jason Todd Ipson and James Huntsman. It released the horror film “Unrest” through Lionsgate and is developing “One Night Standard,” “Fishlake” and “Nosophoros.”
