TORONTO — Distrib Maximum Film has nabbed Canuck rights to six pics repped by Cinetic Media playing at the Toronto Film Festival.

The pics are John Crowley’s “Is There Anybody There?” starring Michael Caine as a scruffy magician; Richard Linklater’s homage to the legendary filmmaker, “Me and Orson Welles”; Irish helmer Ian Fitzgibbon’s dark comedy “A Film With Me in It”; Matt Aselton’s feature bow “Gigantic”; Ramin Bahrani’s “Goodbye Solo”; and Scott McGehee and David Siegel’s “Uncertainty.”

“We are very pleased to be working with Cinetic and proud to be the Canadian distributor for this fantastic slate of films,” Bryan Gliserman, Maximum managing director told Daily Variety.

The acquisitions are part of an exclusive output agreement between Maximum and Cinetic announced at the Toronto fest last year.
