Project has a SAG waiver and will start shooting Oct. 20 in Phoenix, with George Gallo directing from the script he wrote with Andy Weiss.
Pic is being financed through Christopher Mallick’s Oxymoron. Mallick and Blue Star Entertainment’s William Sherak and Jason Shuman (“Bangkok Dangerous,” “The Messengers”) will produce along with Michael Weiss.
Script centers on a straight-and-narrow businessman who builds the first online billing company dealing exclusively with adult entertainment and finds himself in the middle of a whirlwind filled with starlets, conmen, Russian mobsters, federal agents and international terrorists — all while trying to hold on to his marriage and family.
Mallick, an Internet entrepreneur, formed Oxymoron Entertainment last year. Gallo’s writing credits include “Bad Boys” and “Midnight Run.”

Tales of spooky occurrences on the sets of horror movies like “The Exorcist” and “Poltergeist” have circulated for years, and it looks like “The Conjuring” franchise is following in their footsteps in that regard. “Actual rock stars have, like, all sorts of different guitars. Spencer and Heidi Montag Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port, Justin “Bobby” Brescia, Brody Jenner and Mischa Barton were spotted partying at Les Deux on Wednesday night in Hollywood. If that sentence feels like a throwback, that’s because it feels like it’s 2009 all over again. It’s been 10 years since “The Hills” ended and now [...]
At Wednesday night’s world premiere of the “Child’s Play” remake, it was obvious that evil doll Chucky — the star of seven films over three decades — had a little work done. And now he bears a striking resemblance to Donald Trump. “Oh, you caught that?” Aubrey Plaza asked Variety on the black carpet outside [...]
