Suzanne Cole has been upped to exec VP of media for Universal Pictures.
Cole functions as the studio’s primary media buyer, overseeing all print, broadcast, online and outdoor ads for the more than 20 theatrical and more than 30 DVD releases U distributes annually.
She had served as senior VP of media since 2004.
“Given the increasingly competitive entertainment media landscape, the added responsibility for Rogue Pictures media planning and her tireless, innovative work on theatrical and DVD campaigns, she has certainly earned it,” said U marketing prexy Eddie Egan, to whom Cole reports.
Cole joined Universal in 1999 as VP of media following the studio’s acquisition of Polygram Films, where she had served as VP since 1997.
