Production and management firm Puzzle Pictures has launched as a specialist in seeking partnerships between Hollywood and Europe.
The shingle’s headed by prexy-CEO Marie-Amelie Rechberg, who was previously at Senator Entertainment, where she worked on “The Informers,” starring Kim Basinger, Billy Bob Thornton and Winona Ryder.
Rechberg started her career at Focus Features and went on to produce Veit Helmer’s documentary “Behind the Couch: Casting in Hollywood.” She also worked at Bavaria Films and Endeavor.
The company’s signed German TV writer Bora Dagtekin (“Turkish for Beginners”). Its production division is launching with “Love and Let Die,” an erotic thriller written by client Asimakis Pagidas and starring Theodoros Zoumpoulidis, and romantic comedy “Half of Two,” to be directed by Jen McGowan (“Confessions of a Late Bloomer”).
