Paramount taps studio group prexy

Baumberger has 'diverse leadership experience'

Paramount Pictures has tapped Randall Baumberger president of the studio group.

He will oversee day-to-day management of the group, which includes environmental health and safety, facilities and plant operations, studio group finance, studio group legal, studio operations and technical services.

Baumberger will report to Paramount chief operating officer Frederick Huntsberry.

Paramount plans to aggressively pursue third-party TV post work to occupy the facilities left vacant when CBS exited and will need to create an infrastructure to support that. Baumberger will likely be instrumental in realizing those efforts.

Baumberger joins Par from the Colorado-based consumer electronics retail chain Ultimate Electronics, where he most recently was president and chief operating officer.

Huntsberry praised Baumberger for “his diverse leadership experience,” which will be “instrumental in helping the studio group achieve the many opportunities that lie ahead.”
