Magnet Releasing, Magnolia Pictures’ genre arm, has taken domestic rights to nail-biter “Surveillance,” helmed by Jennifer Lynch.
Pic stars Bill Pullman, Julia Ormond, Pell James, Ryan Simpkins, Kent Harper, Cheri Oteri, Michael Ironside and French Stewart.
Thriller begins in the aftermath of a violent killing spree on a deserted highway as FBI agents (Ormond, Pullman) try to solve the crime after three witnesses tell very different stories. A fall theatrical release is planned.
Pic was written by Lynch and thesp-producer Kent Harper, exec produced by David Lynch and produced by Marco Mehlitz of Lago Films.
Deal was negotiated by Magnolia senior veep Tom Quinn, business affairs head Jason Janego and director of acquisitions Dori Begley with Lina Marrone of Arclight Films.
