Agent Ed Limato and Relativity Media topper Ryan Kavanaugh will be feted by Italy’s sixth Ischia Global Film and Music fest, which is hosting a confab on Italo/U.S. co-productions packed with high-caliber industryites from both countries.
Limato, whose clients include Denzel Washington, Mel Gibson and Richard Gere, is expected on the Italian island to receive an Ischia Legend career award. Kavanaugh, who recently shepherded “21,” will be named producer of the year.
Marc Canton, Lawrence Bender and Avi Lerner are among other Hollywood heavyweights expected to make the trek to Ischia to hobnob with Italian bizzers including Italo producers Aurelio de Laurentiis, Valerio De Paolis and Nicola Giuliano.
Gael Garcia Bernal, Rosario Dawson and Val Kilmer are among the latest star additions, plus helmers Alfonso Cuaron, Michael Radford and Amos Gitai.
Screenings will include the Italo preems of Garcia Bernal’s “Deficit,” Hong Kong helmer Andrew Lau’s “The Flock,” with star Claire Danes in tow, and Universal’s “Mamma Mia.”
July 13-20 seaside resort fest is headed by Pascal Vicedomini, who also heads sister winter event Capri Hollywood.
