Image Entertainment has restructured in the wake of founder Marty Greenwald’s exit.
Bill Bromiley, formerly prexy of First Look Entertainment, has been tapped chief acquisitions officer and Rick Eiberg has been upped to exec VP of operations and chief technology officer. They join David Borshell, newly named prexy of the home entertainment indie, and Image CFO Jeff Framer as exec officers of the company.
Bromiley began consulting for Image on its feature films’ initiative last June and joined the company in January.
Eiberg, a five-year veteran of the company, previously served as senior VP of operations. In his new post, he will oversee the company’s supply chain, distribution and technology.
Michael B. Bayer, previously VP of biz and legal affairs, will gain the rank of associate general counsel in the wake of the departure of Dennis Hohn Cho on March 31, when his contract ended.
Greenwald stepped down from his CEO-prexy post last week, the start of the company’s new fiscal year, but retains his post as chairman of the board. In the last two years, the company has struggled to withstand a hostile takeover bid by Lionsgate and, more recently, a failed merger with BTP (Daily Variety, April 1).
