Joel B. Michaels has been tapped as president of production at the Halcyon Co. and will oversee “Terminator Salvation,” which just completed principal photography.
Michaels currently serves as exec producer on TV’s “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.” Prior to joining Halcyon, Michaels served as prexy of production at C-2 Pictures, where he produced “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.”
Michaels also served as president of MK Prods. before joining C-2 and produced several films for Carolco Pictures, including “Lolita,” “Stargate” and “Universal Soldier.” He also served as president of production and distribution at Cineplex Odeon Films.
In May 2007, Halcyon acquired rights to the “Terminator” franchise. The company also secured first-look rights to the works of science fiction writer Philip K. Dick.
