Filmmakers, artists team for CPH

Festival runs April 16 - 26 next year

STOCKHOLM — Five Danish filmmakers are joining forces with five Danish visual artists to create five films to be shown at new Danish film fest CPH:PIX, which runs April 16-26 next year.

“A Soap” helmer Pernille Fischer Christensen will team with Cathrine Raben Davidsen; “Reconstruction” helmer Christoffer Boe with Balder Olrik; “Dark Horse” helmer Dagur Kari with Christina Hamre; “Italian for Beginners” helmer Lone Scherfig with Ulrik Moller; and “Young Man Falling” helmer Martin de Thura with Peter Callesen.

The Artfilm-Filmart project is produced by Zentropa Entertainments’s Meta Louis Foldager who is hoping for “unpredictable fusions between the two artists.”

The films will be screened at Copenhagen’s contempo art gallery GL Strand from April 23 to May 3.
