Oklahoma critics honor ‘Country’

'Norbit' given dubious honor

Joel and Ethan Coen’s “No Country for Old Men” took home a trio of trophies at the Oklahoma Film Critics Circle Awards. The crime thriller nabbed honors for best film of 2007, supporting actor for Javier Bardem and directing for the brothers.

“Juno” star Ellen Page won for best actress and breakout performance.

Ben Affleck was given the best first feature prize for the drama “Gone Baby Gone,” which also boasted a supporting actress win for Amy Ryan.

The dregs of 2007 was also honored by the Oklahoma crix, which named “Norbit” the worst pic of 2007. The prize for not-so-obviously worst feature of the year was shared by “Youth Without Youth” and “Bee Movie.”
