Brandon Walters

Supporting actor, 'Australia'

Walters beat leukemia at 7. Now, four years later, he plays a major supporting role in Baz Luhrmann’s “Australia.” The boy from a remote West Australian pearling town knew nothing of Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman before the director picked him to work alongside the high-profile actors. “He’s a very capable young man with a natural cinematic chemistry,” Luhrmann says. Walters’ character, Nullah, lives on the cattle station owned by Lady Ashley (Kidman) and is pivotal to the story between her and Jackman’s character.
