HONG KONG — Indian animation major DQ Entertainment and Bollywood player Pritish Nandy Communications have pacted to develop and produce six movies over three years.
Slate will include animation and live action films and total production budget will top $45 million, the pair said.
“The animation and gaming market in India is about to explode and this partnership will explore every new idea that exists or can be developed,” Tapaas Chakravarti, chairman and CEO of DQ Entertainment said. “We would like (PNC) to share our space and experience in animation and gaming and we would like to share their expertise in live action movies.”
Both companies are listed on the stock market, PNC in Mumbai, DQ in London.
