YouTube is going offline for its latest endeavor.

The Google-owned company will host YouTube Live on Nov. 22 in San Francisco. Two-hour event will showcase talent who have become popular through videos that have played on the site.

Streamed by the Internet vid behemoth from the Herbst Pavilion in Fort Mason Center, YouTube Live will feature performances by such music acts as Akon, Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em, the Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am, Ask a Ninja, “Step Up 2 the Streets” helmer John Chu and Discovery Channel’s MythBusters, as well as Esmee Denters, whose videos have been viewed more than 111 million times on the site.

Sponsors include Lionsgate, which will use the event to push “Saw V,” while Activision will promote its “Guitar Hero World Tour” game. Virgin America will broadcast YouTube Live on its planes.

Idea is for the event to serve as a concert, variety show and party for its talent and viewers, YouTube said.
