Darcy Antonellis has been upped to prexy of Warner Bros. technical operations, filling the post vacated by Chris Cookson, who recently departed the Burbank lot to take Sony Pictures’ top tech job.
The promotion allows Antonellis to streamline her business card: She previously held dual titles as exec VP of distribution and technology ops and senior VP of worldwide antipiracy operations. She will report to Kevin Tsujihara, who heads the studio’s home entertainment group.
Antonellis will focus on developing, adapting and leveraging new technologies to support the studio’s various businesses. She will shepherd the studio through technical, business and legal issues to ensure secure digital distribution and assume responsibility for worldwide supply chain management.
She will continue to oversee the studio’s advanced digital services, worldwide antipiracy and digital video compression service, GDMX, working closely with Time Warner public policy offices on tech issues.
