LONDON — 20th Century Fox has tapped Anders Klosters to become managing director of its U.K. home entertainment division.
Appointment follows on the heels of the division receiving the distributor of the year award last month at the Home Entertainment Week awards and recognition by the British Video Association as the number one studio for retail and rental distribution
Klosters, who was most recently managing director for Leapfrog Toys in Europe, will report directly to Steven Leighton, senior veepee for Fox Home Entertainment’s Northern Europe operations.
“As the market becomes even more challenging and complex — with new technologies and business pressures — Anders’ well-respected skills and consumer products experience will be vital to our sustainable growth,” commented Leighton.
Fox’s U.K. home entertainment division held 12 of the top 50 retail titles of 2007 with a 16.9% distributor share, and 11 of the top 50 rental titles with 21.5% share, thanks to titles such as “The Simpsons Movie,” “Little Miss Sunshine” and “Borat.”
