On this week’s radio edition of “Wilshire & Washington,” Brett Horvath, creator of the new Facebook app Your Revolution, stops by to discuss the possibilities of online voter registration. His app allows voters in Washington and Arizona to register to vote online in less than three minutes, and even invite friends — who aren’t registered, according to state records — to register as well. Brett and his team are pushing legislation in 8 more states and are hoping to have online voter registration in the other 48 states by 2012. Brett talks the advantages of online registration, the hiccups he and his crew have hit in implementing their app, and how this “least-reliable generation” is going to get out the vote this November.
Hosts Ted Johnson, Maegan Carberry, and Teresa Valdez Klein also address the other big topics this week: Is Batman a fascist revenge fantasy? According to this WSJ op-ed, the caped crusader and our president might be sharing more than just fashion tips! How about that new trailer for Oliver Stone’s W.? Will it be satire, and can you release a political biopic these days, in the heat of an election?
