Oprah Plans Post-Election Special

Oprah Winfrey has been silent on her show about the presidential race, but with the election over, she will devote Wednesday’s show to a recap of the race.

Could Obama make an appearance?

Time’s The Page caught up with her in Chicago at Obama’s victory celebration.

Asked what role she would play in the Obama administration, she said, “I already had a role. My role was to use my voice to introduce him to as many people who didn’t know him as possible in the beginning. One thing I could say for sure, I wanted nothing out of this. I had no agenda, no agenda whatsoever. I didn’t want anything other that to let people know who he was. I’m not one of those people looking for a position or trying for an ambassadorship.”

“I feel a deep sense of pride. I feel a deep sense of appreciation, what he was able to do with the help all of us but his ability to out think out strategize out maneuver, (Gail inserts, “outlove”) outlove everybody, just to show us the way. His steadfast calmness throughout this whole thing has shown all of us what it means to be a leader. I mean that’s who I want leading this country.”
