Lifetime renews ‘Blood Ties’

Series has averaged 1.1 household rating

Lifetime has renewed “Blood Ties,” a melodrama about vampires, for a second cycle of 10 hourlong episodes, which kick off in the fall.

Christina Cox stars as a private eye who investigates supernatural crimes, aided by her partner, who’s a vampire.

Scheduled Sundays at 10 p.m., the series premiered March 11 and has averaged a 1.1 household rating, according to Lifetime.Peter Mohan is showrunner and co-exec producer with Randy Zalken, Kirk Shaw and Marshall Kesten.

The production entities are Insight Film Studios Ltd. and Kaleidoscope Entertainment for Lifetime, in association with Canada’s CHUM TV.
